My vacation

I had a nice little holiday last week. It was really good getting away for awhile, even though we had to drive on my birthday. On our way, we ended up stopping in Waldeck to see the new house that my cousin and her daughter just moved into. it's pretty nice and i really like that they are so close to us now. only 2 hours away instead of like 8. we also stopped in Calgary to drop off bread at my brother's friends house where my brother was for the weekend. and then headed to Bowden, where my aunt and uncle live on an acreage.

They had a really good supper waiting for us, bbq chicken and vegetables. My aunt had also bought me a birthday cake. we just sat around drinking that night. On Monday we just went into Red Deer and did a little shopping and at night we sat outside and had a little fire in their fire pit. Tuesday my mom, aunt and i went into Edmonton to do some more shopping. We first stopped at Ikea, and then went to WhiteRock for lunch and then hit some of the outlet stores. We didn't end up going to the mall cause it was getting late and we had to be back in Bowden for supper. so hopefully i can go to Edmonton again sometime and hit up the mall. And then on Wednesday, my mom, aunt and i went to Calgary to see my grandma and grandpa. My grandpa has been in a Vetran's Hospital for about 5 years or so because he has had many strokes. but when we saw him, he actually didn't look too bad. but it's so sad seeing him the way he is, cause he can't do anything for himself. my grandma has to feed him. it's just not how i like remembering my grandpa. and i'm sure he probably doesn't like people seeing him like that. but we had a good visit there and then we went to the Olive Garden for lunch and did a little shopping before heading back to Bowden. Thursday morning my mom and i left my aunt and uncle's place and headed to Waldeck, where we spent the night with my cousins. Friday morning we headed back to Regina and unfortunately i had to work that night 5-9:15. But all in all, it was nice to get away and visit with my family. i'm glad that soon my aunt and uncle will be moving closer to us as well. it sucks when we only get to see them a couple times a year. now we'll be able to see them even more.

School starts tomorrow. in a way i'm excited about it, but only cause it will give me something to do instead of working all the time. But i haven't really had much of a break from school yet so i'm kind of starting to get sick of it. but i'm going to try and work really hard and hopefully pull my grades up a bit. i'm taking Sociology 307, Psychology 310, Sociology 280, Social Studies 306 and Religious Studies 228, which is Christianity. should be an interesting semester. and then after this semester, i only have 3 classes left!!! and then i can graduate in June next year. and i hope that in December when i apply for the after degree program in education, I will be able to get in. So that i can finally become a teacher.

p.s. -sorry Ramona and Ilynna that i didn't call you when i was in Edmonton but i didn't know where we were going shopping or anything. and we got there kind of late so we didn't have as much time to do everything that we wanted.
