Happy New Year!!

I cannot believe that it is 2007. I think this is going to be a big year for me. First of all, I only have 3 classes left before I graduate. Plus I will find out whether I made it into education or not and if I didn't, deciding if I will be going to teach English overseas or not. I'm excited to see what the year holds for me. I'm also going to Florida with my family for 10 days. I'm definitely excited for that.

Well i passed all my classes so I won't have to repeat any. I'm happy about that. I ended up with a 65% in my sociology class that i thought I was going to fail. and I got 64% in my child psych, which it would have been higher if i wouldn't have failed the midterm. Oh well, nothing i can do about it now. I'm just glad that i'm only down to 3 classes. It's not going to be as stressful as a semester. I only go Monday nights and then Tuesday and Thursday from 10-2:15 with a break in between. So that will be alright.

Now i want to do a 2006 year in review. I had a lot of things go on this past year. Hopefully this year won't be as stressful.

January

At the beginning of January, my mom and I went to the spa. It was part of her Christmas present. It was very relaxing and nice to get away for a night. This was also the month I met Mark. We dated for about 2 months before I decided to end things and we ended up not staying friends. For some reason, he kind of turned into a jerk and decided that he couldn't handle being my friend. but whatever, i'm probably better without him in my life. I also started a new semester of school. This was the semester that I became friends with Julie. I haven't made a lot of school friends at university, at least not ones that I still talk to after the semester is over.

February

In February I went to Calgary to visit Ash for about 5 days. It was fun, except for the day i got to take her car out and of course it was the only day that it snowed while i was there. I ended up taking a wrong turn and heard on the radio that people should avoid the Deerfoot since it was pretty icy. Well I had no idea where I was and ended up getting lost. Finally i said screw it and ended up going on the deerfoot anyways cause otherwise i would have never made it meet Ash for lunch. needless to say, it was a little stressful. but I eventually got to where i was going lol

March

It was pretty uneventful, except this was the month Mark and broke up(I think lol) I also made out with Sean. that was kind of weird.

April

I wrote finals and that's about all I remember for this month.

May

I started my spring class this month. Julie was also in this class with me. At the beginning of the month, my mom and i went to Alberta for a week to visit my family. We went to Calgary and to Edmonton to go shopping. It was fun.

I also decided to finally quit Zellers. This was because i got a job offer at the Coop Home and Agro Centre. and they were going to start me at a little higher wage than i was making at Zellers and better hours. so i decided to take it. My last day at Zellers was on May 26. This was also the same day that i bought my brand new car, a 2006 Cobalt LS coupe. :) I had finally decided to buy myself something nice. not that i didn't love my old car, but i wanted a newer car. and i absolutely love this car. There was definitely a lot of mixed emotions this month. I couldn't believe that i was actually leaving Zellers. i had complained so much about it but i knew it was finally time to move on. And I am happy with my new job. I'll be getting a raise soon cause i have almost reached 700 hours. so i should be making about $10 an hour soon. :)

June

This is the month that I met Brad and we started dating. Unfortunately, it only lasted 2 weeks and we have had some fights but we are still friends. In fact, we spent new years together last night. But anyways, this month was also bad because I lost my great Uncle Jimmy(my dad's uncle) to cancer. It definitely sucked, especially since it hadn't even been a year since I had lost my dad. I hate cancer. I also attended the Relay for Life, in honor of my dad and my uncle. Even though it was hard, i'm glad i went. i ended up staying up all night with Jody and her brother, but we had fun. I also finished my spring class. my group and i got 92% on our presentation on Obsession Compulsion Disorder.

July

July 2 marked the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death. It has definitely been hard since my dad has been gone. sometimes i still don't believe it. I haven't been to his grave since Christmas Day last year. I just find it so hard to go. my mom tells me that i don't have to go but i always worry that he might think i have forgotten about him. which i haven't. i think about him everday. but it's just hard to go there cause then it makes it more real for me. i plan to go more this year. I also went camping with my friends in July. although there was a little bit of drama and we almost got kicked out, it was still pretty fun. Also in July, i started my summer class. by this time i was starting to get sick of school. i had been going nonstop since the fall of 2005.

August


This is the month of my birthday and it's one of my favorite months. i finished my summer class and on the day of my birthday, my mom and i went to Alberta for a week. It was nice to get away for a bit before i started yet another semester.

September

I started yet another new semester, which i was worried about because i knew i had some hard classes to deal with. and it was very stressful for me. I had at least 1 paper in each class, some even had 2. It was a lot of work for me and i ended up staying home a lot because i had so much work to do.

October

This was a really busy month for me. Chelsey and i went to the Black Eyed Peas concert at the beginning of the month. It was so much fun, even though Rihanna didn't perform because she was sick. but the BEP were awesome. I'd definitely go and see them again. My family and i also went to Calgary for my cousin Barb's wedding. and i had a lot of work due this month. I also met 3 new guys but of course nothing really worked out. I only still talk to 1 of them, we are only friends.

November

This was probably one of the worst months for me. I had so many papers due it wasn't even funny. I thought i was going to lose my mind. One week, i wrote 3 papers, one right after the other. and thankfully i passed them all.

December

The stressful semester finally came to an end. I wrote my finals and ended up passing. I was so happy that i was getting 3 weeks off before the next semester. i definitely needed it. Christmas came and went. It was good. I got a remote car starter for my car and a bunch of movies and clothes and little stuff. New Years was pretty uneventful. Went out to Sedley and spent the night at Brad's. We watched Pirates of the Carribean 2 and just hung out and talked and stuff. It was fun.


Well that was my year in a nutshell lol There is probably stuff i missed but oh well. I just hope that good things come my way this year and i already know that i have a few things to look forward too. Like my friend Mike's wedding in July. and my trip to Florida and convocating from the U of R. And finally finding out what is going to happen in the Fall for me. and maybe there will be a new boy in there somewhere too. i'll just have to wait and see what happens.
